Sometime Whatsapp may show the phone number instead of showing their name in whatsapp application. Here is the solution.
SOLUTION 1:
Open your phone's Settings app > Apps > WhatsApp > Permissions and make sure all permissions are turned on.
Especially Contact Permission must be enabled. Once you enabled, then close your whatsapp application and open it.
If problem continues, then try the solution 2.
SOLUTION 2:
- you may need to reset the WhatsApp sync with your contacts. Here is how:
- Open your phone's Settings app > Accounts > WhatsApp
- In the new screen, tap WhatsApp again > Menu Button > Remove account.
- Open WhatsApp > Contacts > Menu Button > Refresh.
